The 2008 Promise Ball was certainly the hottest party in town! This year’s event was held on Friday, May 9 at The Ritz-Carlton in Dearborn. The new venue enabled the event to grow by 100 guests over last year. The evening featured cocktails, dinner, dancing, one-of-a-kind auction items and musical entertainment provided by Intrigue. In the end, the evening raised $700,000 for diabetes research!

This year’s Honorary Chairs were Jim Press, Vice-Chairman and President of Chrysler LLC, and his wife Suwichada. JDRF was also pleased to honor Cynthia and Edsel B. Ford II with the Jane Jospey Cobb Promise Award.
