Become Involved
Please join us in finding a cure for diabetes. There are numerous ways to become involved with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation:
JDRF is dedicated to encouraging the federal government to increase funding for diabetes research at the National Institutes of Health. But only one voice can speak loud enough for JDRF to be heard by our nation's politicians: Yours. To receive the tools you need to help make yourself and JDRF heard, take legislative action. To join others working in our community to increase government support of diabetes research, please contact Michele Lynch at mlynch@jdrf.org or 248.355.1133, extension 15.
Our national Children's Congress helps children meet their local representatives and teaches them that their voice really does make a difference. Bi-annually, children with diabetes from every state are selected to travel to Washington, D.C. to advocate for a cure for diabetes.
JDRF's Promise to Remember Me Campaign cultivates relationships between people who are affected by diabetes and their lawmakers, and captures the request for a "promise" in a photograph posted on JDRF's national website. Families affected by diabetes meet with their Representatives and Senators during local town hall meetings, in local offices, and at events throughout the country.
Volunteer
Adults and students can volunteer at our chapter office
during regular business hours or at a specific event throughout the year.
Teens who volunteer can obtain volunteer credit hours for school. To download
a volunteer interest form, please click

Make a contribution
For many, the easiest way to help fight juvenile diabetes
is through a direct, tax-deductible contribution to JDRF. Tribute and
memorial gifts are a meaningful way for individuals or groups to honor
the memory of loved ones and friends or acknowledge a special occasion.
