About Our Chapter
The Metro Detroit & Southeast Michigan Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) was established in 1972. With an active board of over 20 members, we produce three annual events and offer resources and assistance to support newly diagnosed individuals and their families.

Diabetes costs Michigan residents an additional $3.5 billion a year in lost productivity due to premature death, disability and illness. Our Chapter contributes over $3 million annually to diabetes research. We take pleasure in widening public concern for diabetes and the signs of hope that medical research promises so that we may live in an insulin free world. Please join us in finding a cure.
